Strategy essentials


















Strategy is the essential starting point of any venture. One essential reason why many healthcare ventures fail is the lack of a clear, implementable and tangible strategy. Change management, competitiveness, value addition, profitablity are all essential parts of strategy-making.

The Care Management Continuum








Care management is slowly moving out of the classical frame of hospitals. We see the advent of primary healthcare providers, home care , telemedicine and telephonic consults, hospice-based care today.

These developments are yet at a nascent stage in our country. Presenting the view from the US Healthcare System on the " Care Management Imperative."

Some of these issues ( such as the cost rationalization opportunities, Table 1) are relevant to our country also, as we face the unique challenge of developing advanced healthcare systems, at an affordable cost, in a developing economy:
